Who Me?!?!

A series of events...

I like hanging out with my cousin...

She has such nice cheeks...oops...too close...

I didn't do anything...I promise!

I sure hope that Ava figures out quickly how to combat her cousin's...shall we say...curiousness! But they do make a pretty cute pair!

Ava, Sherry and Kevin were in town for Father's Day...so Sherry thought it was about time that Grandpa Jack got to see some of his Cowboys gear on his grand babies!

Dear Dad,

My footprints may be small now, but one day I hope to be just as big as you! You are my idol! Happy Fathers Day!
Love,
Isaac

Isaac's teachers come up with the cutest little gifts! Just in case it is hard to tell...those are a pair of socks with his footprints on them, plus a new tape measure and some candy (sadly that didn't make it through the weekend!)

Lock the Cupboards!

Isaac had his six month Dr. visit yesterday. He is now a whopping 18 lbs., 6 oz. and 26 1/2" tall! I think my arms might disagree with the weight...man 18 lbs. feels like a lot!

We also got the green light for cereal! So far he seems to really dig the new concoction! Apparently Ms. Chelsea at baby school thought we had been pulling her leg about not feeding him cereal after he took his first few bites. She said that he took to it like he had been eating solids for years! None of this spitting it out because we don't know what it is!

Hopefully this means fewer dirty looks when eating around the little man!

Summer Fun

Here are some pictures from our recent trip to the lake with the family!

Garret and Isaac were super excited to be at the lake with each other. They could hardly wait to get in the water!

First time in the water! He didn't react quite like I had expected him to...I thought he would giggle, kick his legs and splash around. He was pretty somber at first and slowly worked up to the giggles and splashing!

Isaac discovered a love of spoons! I think this is a sign that he is super ready to start on a little solid food. We'll find out next week if we get the green light for the fun to begin!

I'm not sure who won the competition for goofiest hat...I'll let you decide!

Our little beach bum...lounging on the dock, catching a few rays (if I hadn't slathered him from head to toe in sunscreen!) and havin' a laugh...what could be a better start to the summer!
