Momma's Back Says Differently...

but according to Isaac's 18 month appointment he now weighs 25 lbs. and is 32.75 inches tall.

I was SHOCKED that he is only 25 lbs! I would have believed 35, or maybe even 30...that must be one solid 25 lbs! Dr. said he is just a tall and lean little man! He is in the 61st percentile for his height and 37 percentile for his weight.

Dr. H was also pretty impressed by his vocabulary, though he sort of had to take my word for it. I think the only things Isaac said while he was around was Momma, Elmo and Bye-Bye. Dr. H also had him do a little demo of his walking abilities...he asked Isaac to walk across the little, tiny exam room to me, as he walked Isaac just stared at the Doc as if to say "Is that all you have for me to do? This is easy!"

Shots were once again no fun, but a lot better than I thought they would be. I figured Ike would have screamed out something like "Momma I hate you!" But thankfully he didn't and my hugs seemed to make him feel all better!

Down By the Banks

We started off our little lake vacation by the boys creating their own golf course up the hill. Some of the bigger boys had headed off that morning to play on a real golf course, so Isaac and Garret decided they needed to play too! I'm not really sure how long they were up there hitting the golf balls around, but they covered some SERIOUS ground while doing it!

The next day we decided to feed some fish. We headed off to the marina. Isaac wasn't so sure about these fish, so he decided that Val was a lot safer to hangout with. But then again we aren't talking about any little goldfish!

I can't even tell you how many fish there were...but they sure knew what our plan was! They started swarming (can you say that about fish?) as soon as we walked across the bridge!

Next up was a trip to the public beach to play in the sand. The part of the lake that is down the hill from the cabin doesn't have a beach, so this was our only chance to get a little sand between our toes. I've spared you most of the pictures from this little excursion. The water was really shallow...so there may have been a little too much of my white legs shown in the pics...so you get a cute Ike pic!

Then on Thurs. we all got to go on a pontoon boat, with slide and wave runner. This pic is of the Grahams relaxing in the middle of the lake. Thankfully this was taken before the wave runner incident...let's just say that all subjects in this photo were on the wave runner and then they weren't...everyone is okay...but there might not have been as many smiles after that! Just ask Justin!

And finally we rounded out the week with a little "illegal" activity! Poor Pam and Mike's bed, I hope it wasn't too tenderized that night. The boys had a little too much fun jumping on the bed! I was in another room and could hear them giggling...then Gail was giggling, then Valerie...until almost all of us were in this little room watching them. Nothing like a little adult supervision!

I'm A Little Honeybee

I'm a little honeybee
Yellow and black
See me gather
Pollen on by back
What the queen bee tells me
I must do
So I can make sweet honey for YOU!

Fly, fly, fly
Ladybugs fly
Fly over here
Fly over there
They fly up high and they fly down low
Around and around and round they go
They fly fast, and they fly slow
Oh, ladybugs fly.
