Spring Fever

My boys definitely have it! Right now they are running around the backyard in their heavy coats!

Isaac had spent the last 10 minutes standing at the back door trying to convince Dad that they should go outside. Finally Justin caved in.

I think it all stems from last weekends beautiful weather. We spent a good portion of Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning in the yard exploring. That was really the first time that Isaac had spent a lot of time in the yard, at least with his own mobility.

I think we have an outdoors man on our hands! Especially if he thinks it is fun to go out on a cloudy, cold day like today!

Here's hoping spring gets here fast and stays for awhile so Mommy and Daddy don't have to freeze our tails off entertaining the outdoors man!

P.S. They only stayed out there about 10 mins. So at least he is a smart outdoors man! =)

My What a Big Boy You Are

Ike had his 14 month check up today. Our boy is getting so big! He is now a little over 22 lbs. and a whopping 31 in. tall! Doc said that he was above average for height and pretty normal for weight.

Are little guy is growing like a weed!

Belated Valentines

CAUTION: The picture you are about to see is a little startling at first...

The week before Valentine's Day, Isaac kept coming home with red paint all over his clothes (praise the Lord for stain removers!) We knew they had to be up to something crafty. But when Valentine's Day came and went, nothing came home, we began to wonder.

Today the mystery was solved:

Once you realize that it's a coffee filter flower it is rather sweet and not so startling!

There Are Times...

when you just don't feel so good...

and only want to lie around and watch PBS Sprout*.

In the grand tradition of only working four days a week this February (thanks to snowstorms and now a little fever) we are home again today.

Ike got sent home from school yesterday with a fever. He slept pretty much from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. last night. We woke him up just long enough to drink some milk, change his diaper, watch the Best in Show be announced and back off to bed he went.

Today he seems to be a little better and getting back to normal. Though he has been a little sleepy. I'm sure by tomorrow he will be his happy go lucky self once again!

*The little sproutlet and I have recently discovered the wonders of PBS Sprout. I'm not sure, but I may be addicted. The shows are generally really cute. We haven't watched all the shows they have to offer, but the ones we have seen are fun! Although I have to say that Dirt Girl World creeps me out to no end!

I'm not sure that Isaac is totally into the shows, but he does like to stop and watch for a few minutes. The shows make for good background noise while we play or read books. Most of the shows are filled with music that we, I mean Isaac likes to dance to!

Yummy Lunch on Another Snow Day

There really isn't anything better than eating and wearing a tomato based sauce on a snow day!We attempted more practice with the spoon, perhaps that is part of the reason this became so, shall we say, stylish!

Does anyone else see a little bit too much imp in that impish grin?
