SNOW DAY!
As of just a few minutes ago we've had 14" of snow! I'm pretty sure that's the most snow Isaac has seen since the first week of his life! I'm just thankful that we are snowed in at home and not stuck in a hotel room!
Last night when we got home from work and school we busted a move and got our snow gear on and got b-u-s-y! Ike and I worked on the driveway and Daddy worked on our snowman. Daddy worked on him until it was dark...so this pic was taken this morning for round 2 of snow play!

Fishy February
The fish theme continues!
I think I know two boys who are ready to get outside and do some fishin'! I just hope they aren't too disappointed when it's not quite this easy!

I Fish You Were My Valentine!
It's ofFISHial...Valentine's Day is a bit fishy!
Apparently the fish theme is not just for birthdays!
When I decided to try my hand at making my own Valentine's Day cards for Ike's class there were two things I didn't know:
1. We would find out that Ike had pneumonia with a side of mono and would be out of school a week! This meant that I didn't get the list of the names until Monday 2/11...so I didn't know how many cards I needed. But I used my time wisely and made what I thought was enough cards based on the number of treats we took for his birthday.
2. There were 20 kids and teachers in his class. Turns out his class gained about 5 students since Dec 18! No need to panic...just make it happen.
Thankfully once I got the assembly line set-up, the candy fishes went in the bag nicely, ribbons tied quickly, and the cards didn't tear. Whew!
I just hope the kids get the "I'm glad you're in my school" reference on the card. If not, oh well...don't tell anyone, I might have had fun doing it!
Mental note for next year: Find out how many kids are in the class BEFORE taking on the craft project!
