Last night Isaac actually slept 4.5 hours before he got hungry again! Of course, after that he still got up in another 2 hours...but hey, we'll take the small victories! His past "record" was three hours, and that was early last week.
I have two theories as to why this ocurred:
1. Justin fed him as much as his little tummy could handle and he just couldn't fight being asleep!
OR
2. We had a busy day yesterday and just wore the little guy out! We started off the morning by staying awake for two hours while I messed around the house. Then we headed off to the go bowling with Nana and her UGOGIRLS bowling team. I'm not sure that I held Isaac more than about ten minutes during the two hours we were there! The ladies had quite the party ready...balloons, cupcakes and lots of snuggles!
Then we moved off to visit the Duncan girls, my co-worker and her daughters. I think Leslie & Lucy are in love! Between fighting with their mom to hold him and each other...there was a lot of snuggling going on!
After that, Justin called and said that the Jeep was finally fixed and we needed to go pick it up. So we headed out to Whitewater, pretty much the middle of nowhere, to pick up the Jeep. This little adventure was a little nerve racking, the fog was getting pretty thick and I was just sure a deer or a cow was going to show up in the middle of the road. But thankfully that didn't happen!
When we made it home, we ate a quick dinner and then headed out to Nana's to play a little Bunco. Again, another hour and a half of being passed around from one loving gal to another! After a few rounds of that we made are way to Grammy Mary & Grandpa Jack's to pick up Justin. On the way there Isaac had his first meltdown...his pacifier fell out and there wasn't a darn thing I could do about it. I tried everything I could think of to make it better...but nothing worked. If it hadn't been so foggy I would have pulled over and helped the guy out. Needless to say, Isaac was seriously mad at me! But a quick bottle and a snuggle by Grammy made it all better!
After all that, I for one was tuckered out! I crashed as soon as we got home!
I'm not sure which theory was the one that did the trick, but I don't know that I'm ready to test theory #2 again for a few days!
